The Bombay city crime branch arrested a man from Raichur (Karnataka) on November 12 for sending threatening messages for actor Salman Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs. 5 crore. T. Prakash Rao–the legend known for directing Jubilee films, was born on November 16, 1924, he was an incredible Indian film Director, Producer, and Writer.

T. Prakash Rao started his career in films as an Assistant Director to L.V Prasad, later, as a full-fledged Director,
he made films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

T. Prakash Rao celebrated his success by making Pan-India Silver, Golden and Platinum Jubilee films in black & white and colour that includes
Amardeep, Duniya, Izzat, Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Nanha’n Farishta and other blockbusters.

Director T. Prakash Rao directed some 40 films in his career spanning for almost 4 decades.

Prakash Rao with some other Director, the Producer replied, ” I could replace you but not T.Prakash Rao.”
Later Rajkummar realised his mistake and worked with him.

T. Prakash Rao also made Suraj (1966), Izzat (1968), The Good Son (1958), Pitchi Pullaiah (1953), Hamaara Sansaar (1978), Chiranjeevi Rambabu (1977), Asha Jyoti (1981), and Hum Bhi Kuch Kam Nahi (1991)

Born in Andhra Pradesh, T.Prakash Rao was a leftist by faith. His cousin T. Ramarao is also a renowned Director who started his career by being an Assistant Director to T. Prakash Rao.

T. Prakash Rao passed away on July 1, 1992 leaving his legacy on his son prolific Filmmaker T.L.V Prasad.

Prasad is a Director, Writer and Editor known for his body of work on many films and TV series.

Directing many films with Mithun Chakraborty, T.L.V Prasad is included in the Limca Book of Records for directing so many films with Mithun Chakraborty in a short span of time.
He directed four Bengali films with Mithun Chakraborty in 2004.

Starting his career as an assistant to V. Madhusudhana Rao. He later made many films as a full-fledged Director.

Filmmaker T.L.V Prasad made his directorial debut with the Telugu film Kudi Edamaithe in 1980.

Starting his Bollywood career in 1992 with the film titled ‘I Love You’ he sooner became a renowned Filmmaker.

T.L.V Prasad has also worked on many TV series.

Actress Nimrat Kaur is making headlines almost every day and that’s not for good reason, she is being alleged and labelled as the girlfriend of Abhishek Bachchan.

Ex-wife of Sohail Khan, Seema Sajdeh expressed her concerns about safety of Megastar Salman Khan and the whole family, explaining that news of the threats obviously made her worried and scared, especially for her children and all the loved ones.

I don’t know who is Elder. Shahjahanpur se padh ke gaya. I joined the institution and he had just passed out so I saw his plays. We then went to NSD and I was in the first year and he was in the second year. He came to Bombay in 1996 and I came in the year 1997. We both are at the brink of completing 25 years in the industry. We both got Shool and Jungle in the year 1999 and began shooting for the latter on either November 18 or 19 that year. Nawaz and I have done the least amount of work together.

BANDAA SINGH CHAUDHARY’ REVIEW

Arbaaz Khan Production, Aks Movies & Entertainment, Cinekorn Entertainment and Seamless Productions LLP’s Bandaa Singh Chaudhary (UA) is set in the mid- and late-seventies and early eighties in Punjab. It is based on a lesser known true story.
Bandaa Singh Chaudhary (Arshad Warsi) and Lalli (Meher Vij) live in Punjab with their little daughter, Nemat (Kiara Khanna). While the village in which they live is inhabited by Sikhs, Bandaa Singh is the only Hindu alive in that village. In fact, wife Lalli is also a Sikh. In 1980, the ISI in Pakistan is trying to separate Punjab from India and towards this end, it is attempting to drive out all Hindus from Punjab. At first, Bandaa Singh resists but he leaves Punjab with his family when there’s death staring him in the face. Bandaa Singh’s bosom pal, Tajendra (Jeeveshu Ahluwalia), was murdered by the ISI because of his friendship with Bandaa.
After a few days, Bandaa Singh takes up for Tajendra’s sister, Meher (Alisha Chopra), when she is troubled by the ISI. Gradually, Tajendra’s widow (Shilpi Marwah) musters support for Bandaa Singh in the village. In the end, the Sikh villagers and Bandaa Singh kill the ISI’s men including Bagga (Shataf Figar).
Shaheen Iqbal and Abhishek Saxena have penned an ordinary story. It is not so wonderful or inspirational that the audience would stare in disbelief. Shaheen Iqbal’s screenplay keeps the audience engaged to an extent only, as the drama often gets predictable. Because it is clichéd, the drama doesn’t once evoke excitement that can make the viewers sit up and take note. Shaheen Iqbal’s dialogues are good.
Arshad Warsi acts well in the title role but it’s anybody’s guess that he can’t carry a film on his shoulders as he is now too old to be a hero. Meher Vij performs ably as Lalli. Jeeveshu Ahluwalia is good as Tajendra. Shilpi Marwah makes her mark as Tajendra’s wife. Alisha Chopra has her moments in the role of Tajendra’s sister, Meher. Kiara Khanna is alright as little Nemat. Sachin Negi is okay as Lalli’s brother, Harpal. Shataf Figar is quite good as Bagga. Garry Dhillon is so-so as Tajendra’s son, Kukki. Samuel John is average as Cheema. Jernail Singh provides routine support as police inspector Surjit Gill.
Abhishek Saxena’s direction is ordinary. Rahul Jain and Anand Bhaskar’s music is average. Lyrics (Kunaal Verma, Shaheen Iqbal and Jax 53) are so-so. One of the topmost stars of the Indian Film Industry- Abhishek Bachchan has teamed up with director Shoojit Sircar for his upcoming film, I Want To Talk. The poster for the November 2024 release was unveiled on October 25. Abhishek was seen normalising his pot belly in the film’s poster.

In a relief to actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family, the Supreme Court on Friday upheld the Bombay High Court’s decision to cancel CBI’s lookout circular issued against them following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
The Bench accused the CBI, state of Maharashtra and Bureau of Immigration for challenging the Bombay High Court’s decision just because the accused are from a high-profile background.
A bench of Justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan called the petition was “frivolous”. Justice Gavai said, “We are warning you. You are filing such a frivolous petition, only because one of the accused is a high-profile person. It will be dismissed with exemplary cost. Both persons have deep roots in society.
The CBI had in 2020 issued lookout circulars against Ms Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, her father Lt. Colonel Indrajit Chakraborty and her mother Sandhya Chakraborty. This came after Sushant Singh Rajput’s family filed an FIR in Patna, seeking a probe into his death. Soon after, the case was transferred to the CBI.
The Bombay High Court had quashed the lookout circulars, citing the lack of reasons to issue the same. Further, the Bench had maintained that the actor and her family had roots in the society and had also cooperated with investigating agencies.In the same year, Rhea Chakraborty and her family were questioned in an alleged money laundering case linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Enforcement Directorate’s probe, focussed on her income, investments and professional deals, was initiated after Mr Rajput’s family alleged that she illegally transferred Rs 15 crore in tranches from his account and drove him to suicide.

Superstar Aamir Khan joins hands with Lokesh Kanagraj for a big budget action Superhero and supernatural film whose Production to begin in 2026.

One of the finest stars of the Indian Film Industry, Aamir Khan is currently basking in the success of his production venture, ‘Laapataa Ladies’, directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao featuring Ravi Kishan and others, as the movie has become India’s official entry for the 2025 Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.

According to a recent report, Aamir Khan is going to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a big-budget entertainer. This conflict amid Salman Khan and Bishnoi community, dates back to a case from 1998 when Salman Khan was allegedly involved in the hunting of blackbucks (Deer), which are sacred animals to the Bishnoi community that Lawrence belongs to. Because of this history, Lawrence Bishnoi holds a deep grudge against Salman Khan.

Recently, reports have come out, from AajTak and other media platforms and News channels, indicating the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has made serious threats against Salman Khan even suggesting plans for an assassination. It is said that the gang has prepared 60 shooters to target the biggest Superstar of the Indian Film Industry-Salman Khan, which has raised major concerns about his safety, specially after the brutal killing of the Politician Baba Siddique. It’s being said that the scary incident of shooting Baba Siddique was planned and implemented by Lawrence Bishnoi, the two amongst the three contract killers were caught on the spot, but one Shiv Kumar Gautam was able to fled away.

Filmmaker Karan Johar has reacted as Pakistani singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan recreated the hit song Tauba Tauba. In the clip, shared by Chahat on Instagram, he was heard singing in his unique way–he changed Tauba Tauba to Toba Toba.

With the Taj Mahal in the background, Chahat changed the lyrics and the music as he sang. He also performed with a guitar. Reacting to the video, Karan Aujla, who sang the original track, said, “Uncle na kro (don’t do)please (loudly crying dace Emoji).”

Fans in Delhi will be treated to two shows of the Punjabi singer and film star’s “Dil-Luminati World Tour” in the last week of October.
However, tickets for both the concerts are already sold out. In fact, all the official tickets vanished within hours of the opening of the sales counters. Shankar resumed the shoot of Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan this year and the film will release during summer 2024. After watching the rush and the content, both #KamalHaasan and Shankar decided to complete the shoot of Indian 3 as there is enough content. The filming of the pending episodes are happening currently and Kamal wants Shankar to wrap up the shoot of Indian 3 at the earliest as he wants to commence the shoot of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life.

With Indian 3 on cards, both Shankar and Kamal Haasan quoted handsome remunerations for the project and the makers have given their nod. Kamal gave close to 30 days for the shoot of Indian 3. Both Kamal Haasan and Shankar would be taking hefty remunerations home. Indian 3 is expected to release during the last quarter of 2024. Megastar Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 has set the ball rolling for Q3 FY24 with its entry in the Rs 200 crore club in a week (now the Box-office data say’s 255+ crore (domestic).

The spy venture from the house of YRF – Yash Raj Films also became the biggest opener for a Salman Khan-starrer with first day collections at around Rs 44 crore.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, south superstar Prabhas’ Salaar are some of the upcoming releases which are expected to take India box-office business to new heights.

The current record of highest box-office collection is held by 2019 with Rs 10,948 crore. This year the collections are expected to be around Rs 11,545 crore, up by around 5 percent versus pre-Covid level, according to analysis by media consulting firm Ormax.

This year the box office business is estimated to be 8 percent higher than 2022 when the collections stood at Rs 10,637 crore.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s third release of the year Dunki will reach to the theatres on this Christmas. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, becomes the highly anticipated movie after the historical box-office success of Pathaan and Jawan.
King #shahrukhkhan’s previous two films both of which have earned in excess of Rs 1000 crore. Expectations from Dunki are high as a result. And if the word of one particular celeb from Bollywood is to be believed, the film is all set to live up to the expectations. Recently, actor Boman Irani revealed he has watched the film and shared his review, the first for Dunki.

Boman Irani is known for his words. Apart being an excellent actor he is also a voice artist & photographer. He has worked in some of the superhit hindi films, he is also known for doing commercial theatre plays. At the age of 41, he did his first film “Everybody says I’m fine”.

He made his film debut in 2003 with horror film Darna Mana Hai. In 2003, he had his first commercial success with comedy film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.
Boman Irani is considered as one of the finest character actors of the Indian Film Industry and he very well knows what should be said, he is a man of words and his pronounced words are trustworthy.

Boman Irani recently attended the inauguration of the new complex of CINTAA in Mumbai. On the occasion, the actor spoke with the media about the new CINTAA House and his upcoming projects, one of which is Dunki. Talking about the film, Boman told reporters that he has watched the early draft of the film and that it ‘has turned out very well’. He also predicted that the film will complete a ‘hat-trick’ for Shah Rukh, implying that like Pathaan and Jawan, it will also break box office records.
Dunki marks the first collaboration between #RajkumarHirani and #Shahrukh.

The filmmaker has said that the film deals with the issue of illegal immigration with the title referring to a technique called Donkey Flight used by immigrants. The film, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, and Dharmendra, features Vicky Kaushal in a cameo appearance according to reports. Dunki is slated to be released in theatres around Christmas, clashing with Prasanth Neel’s Prabhas-starrer pan-India action thriller Salaar.

Shah Rukh Khan’s record-breaking year

Like Boman Irani, many are anticipating Dunki to be Shah Rukh’s third hit of the year. Before 2023, Shah Rukh had not had a release in lead role since 2018. His last clean hit as a hero was even further back. But 2023 has been his renaissance year. Pathaan, which released in January, broke domestic collection records, amassing Rs 543 crore in India and Rs 1050 crore worldwide. Jawan broke those records, amassing over Rs 600 crore in India and Rs 1150 crore worldwide.

One of the biggest Dance Choreographers of the Indian Film Industry, Ace dance director Vaibhavi Merchant has been entrusted with this responsibility for the third time with #Tiger3 for the song Leke Prabhu Ka Naam. She has choreographed the duo earlier in Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Talking about Katrina Kaif’s Zoya and Deepika Padukone’s Rubai – both Pakistani spies, #VaibhaviMerchant said, “The latter was a femme fatale dancing to entice Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan. However, the Tiger 3 song is about a married couple celebrating their love.” Vaibhavi further said, “Since Besharam Rang was Deepika’s big dance number, they wanted to go all guns blazing.”

She further said, “There was no information about Rubai’s backstory. It was her intro song. So I just approached her as a femme fatale. She’s Bo Derek from James Bond. #deepikapadukone had also done a bunch of traditional roles, like Padmaavat. So when she came into Besharam Rang, she wanted to go all guns blazing. Filmmaker Dharmesh Darshan refuted his uncle Mahesh Bhatt’s comments about being the illegitimate child of Nanabhai Bhatt, as it also implied that his mother, Sheila Bhatt, was illegitimate as well. In an interview, he said that his mother was a decade older than #MaheshBhatt and that the comments he made publicly about his parents possibly triggered her descent into Parkinson’s. Golden Glass Entertainment’s Pagalpan Next Level is the biopic of fitness expert Guru Mann, starring himself. Guru Mann was a man on a mission to revolutionise the fitness landscape of India with his ‘Mission India Fit’ campaign. From being a spirited trouble-maker in Amritsar to becoming a global fitness icon, Guru Mann has had a hair-raising journey.
Guru Mann and Amit have penned a story which is not very exciting or inspirational. The screenplay, written by Guru Mann and Aryeman Keshu, lacks the thrill which a biopic of this kind ought to have had. Besides, fitness may be important for people but it neither has the significance of money nor the thrill of fame in a person’s life and, therefore, the drama fails to have the desired impact on the audience. Also, Guru Mann’s contribution to fitness among people in India is not too well-known for the public to want to see his biopic. Dialogues lack punch.

Guru Mann does an average job as himself. Shazahn Padamsee is fair. Rituraj Singh impresses as Guru Mann’s father. Aarya Babbar lends ordinary support. Rakesh Bedi makes his presence felt. Suparna Marwah does well. Avtar Gill is adequate. Others pass muster.

Aryeman Keshu’s direction leaves something to be desired. Music (Daler Mehndi, Rahul Lakhanpal, Amar Vivaan and Sagar R.) is so-so. Lyrics ought to have been better. The background score should have been far more effective. Rupam Chetiapatra’s camerawork is okay. Action and stunt scenes (Vishal Bhargav and Yasin Shaikh) afford limited thrill. Sunil Musle’s art direction hardly deserves special mention. Shekhar Koditkar’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Pagalpan Next Level is a non-starter.

Jawan is among the most expensive films of Indian Cinema with a production budget of Rs 350 crore. Due to the pandemic, the cost went higher than expected but the film did enough to make up for all the hike in budgets. The makers spent another Rs 20 crore for print and publicity, taking the overall cost to Rs 370 crore. This includes the fees charged by #Atlee, #nayanthara, #vijaysethupathi and other members of the cast. As again the expenses of Rs 370 crore, Red Chillies Entertainment inked a Rs 150 crore deal with Netflix for the digital rights of Jawan. Another Rs 65 crore came in from Satellite whereas the music rights were acquired by T Series for Rs 35 crore, taking the overall non-theatrical recovery to Rs 250 crore, the highest ever for a Hindi Origin Film.

At a controversial time, when a sect of Citizens are raising their voice to let India be called Bharat as earlier, at the same crucial time there are few people who want to change the title of a film ‘Bombay’ to Mumbai as the Cosmopolitan city is now called Mumbai and not Bombay.

Film ‘Bombay’ is produced by a female Producer named Firdaus Shiekh.

Producer Firdaus Shiekh spoke to the media and said, “My highly anticipated Bollywood film ‘Bombay’ is gearing up for it’s November release, it’s a beautiful film made by us, hopefully it will also get success at the box-office windows.”

Producer Firdaus Shiekh extended the discussion and said, ” We fought a long battle at Central Board of Film Certification and now once again we are facing a new problem, I have received threat calls to change the title of my film ‘Bombay’ to Mumbai.”

Producer Firdaus Shiekh further said, ” Two of my movies Mandya (Kannada) and
Mawali (Marathi) are also ready for sooner release.”

The actor will play a cop in Singham-3, the third installment of the popular franchise starring Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham.

According to a reliable source, Tiger Shroff will appear only in the climax of Singham 3, presumably along with Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh, who play Sooryavanshi and Simmba respectively in the same universe. Ajay Devgn and #KareenaKapoorKhan will reprise their roles as husband and wife, while Deepika Padukone will also have an interesting role towards the end of the film. RISSA EOW TO INTERROGATE GOVINDA IN PONZI SCAM PROBE | 14 September, 2023

The Economic Offences Wing of the Orissa police said on September 13 that it would question actor Govinda in connection with a Rs. 1,000 crore pan-India Ponzi scam probe. According to the EOW, Solar Techno Alliance (STA-Token) was illegally operating a pyramid-structured online Ponzi scheme under the garb of crypto investment. They collected deposits without authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India, to the tune of Rs. 1,000 crore from more than 2 lakh people across the country. Govinda had reportedly endorsed the company’s operations.

“For the time being, the actor is not a suspect or an accused,” EOW inspector general J.N. Pankaj said, adding, “His exact role in the case can be ascertained only after investigation. If we find that his role was limited to only endorsement of the product (STA-Token brand) as per their business agreement, then we will make him a witness in our case.”

The company reportedly collected Rs. 30 crore from 10,000 people in different parts of Orissa. It collected lakhs of rupees as deposits from investors in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Jharkhand, Assam and Madhya Pradesh.

The EOW arrested the company’s country and Orissa heads, Gurtej Singh Sidhu and Nirod Das respectively on August 7. Bhubaneswar-based investment adviser Ratnakar Palai was held on August 16 for his links with Sidhu. Look out circulars were issued against company chief David Gez, a Hungarian national, and three Indian executives from Rajasthan, viz. Krishna Kumar, Anil Kumar and Bhoora Ramfor.

In a recent chat with the media, one of the finest actors of the Globe, Naseeruddin Shah had said that he found it disturbing that The Kerala Story, The Kashmir Files and Gadar-2 became massively popular but films made by #SudhirMishra, Anubhav Sinha and Hansal Mehta don’t get seen.

For those who didn’t know – Sundarkand is the fifth book in the Hindu epic Ramayana. The original Sundarkand is in Sanskrit, and was composed in popular tradition by Valmiki, who was the first to scripturally record the Ramayana. Sundarkand is the only chapter of the Ramayana in which the principal protagonist is not Lord Ram, but Hanuman jee. The work depicts the adventures of Hanuman jee and his selflessness, strength, and devotion to Lord Ram are emphasised in the text. Hanuman jee is believed to have been fondly called “Sundar” by his mother Anjana, and Sage Valmiki is stated to have chosen this name over others as the Sundarkand is about Hanuman’s journey to Lanka.
In the same way Sunderkand in Tulsidas’ Ram Charitra Manas is in Awadhi.

Disciple of Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Swaroopanand, Lyrcist Sushil Agrawal has got inspiration from Hanuman jee to do all his wonderful work which he has done in the past and the work which he will do in future as well.

महाकवि तुलसीदास रचित रामायण का सबसे प्रिय और आध्यात्मिक भाव देने वाला कांड है सुंदर कांड। अवधी भाषा मे लिखे गए इस खण्ड काव्य को और सरल तथा सहज हिंदी भाषा में लिखकर उस पर कुछ समय लगा तो लोगों को और भी समझ मे आने लगा। लोगों को देशी अंदाज में गा कर मजा आने लगा। फिर मित्रों की सलाह पर मैंने इसका एलबम बनाया जो बहुत पसंद किया गया। अबतक विभिन्न भजन मंडलियों द्वारा सरल
सुंदरकांड के सैकड़ों आयोजन हो चुके हैं। अब उसी को हमने किताब रूप में पब्लिस करा दिया है।” इसके लिए गीतकार सुशील अग्रवाल को एक घटना क्रम में हनुमान जी से प्रेरणा मिली है, वे ऐसा मानते हैं। अंतर्लीन हो चुके जगत गुरु शंकराचार्य स्वरूपानंद के परम् शिष्य सुशील अग्रवाल को ऐसा करने की प्रेरणा और आशीर्वाद उनके गुरु से मिला था। वह कहते हैं- “सबकी इच्छा और श्रद्धा से ही ईश्वर कार्य होते हैं।”

में सुशील अग्रवाल ने भजन पक्ष को ही अपनी लेखनी का आधार बनाया और वह सैकड़ों भजन व गीत लिख चुके हैं। पेशे से आई टी व बैंकिंग कंसल्टेंट तथा वास्तु विधा के एक्सपर्ट वह स्वान्तः सुखाय के लिए गीत लिखते हैं। उनकी अगली रचना 200 दोहों की ‘अमरवाणी’ शीघ्र ही प्रकाशित होने वाली है। इसके अलावा वह सरल हिंदी में ‘श्री कृष्ण की जन्मकथा’ भी लिख चुके हैं।

The YRF Spy Universe’ with the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, beginning with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012) and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (2017), and continued with ‘War’ (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Then came ‘Pathaan’ earlier this year.

Tiger 3 is the latest offering of YRF Spy Universe, is set to hit cinemas this Diwali.

The source shared: “Every film of YRF Spy Universe is going to endorse its next big projects for people to guess. Hints will be dropped in every film so that the fans can be engaged constantly to take the conversation of the YRF Spy Universe forward.”

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by YRF. Apart from Salman and Katrina, it also stars Emraan Hashmi, who will be seen portraying a negative character. Ashutosh Rana, Revathi, Ranvir Shorey, Riddhi Dogra and Varinder Singh Ghuman will also be seen in the film, whereas Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a Povital role.

Tiger 3 was initially scheduled to release in April 2023, but got postponed. It is now all set to release in theatres on Diwali, on November 10, 2023.

UNPRECEDENTED SECOND WEEKEND FOR ‘GADAR 2’

The record-breaking spree of Gadar 2 continued through the second weekend. The film remained so strong on all the three days of the second weekend that its net collections have created a new benchmark which may be difficult to surpass.

After collecting an astounding Rs. 284.63 crore in the first week, the Sunny Deol’s Gadar Ek Prem Katha sequel started its second weekend with a take of Rs. 20.50 crore which is a new record as no film in the past has recorded this kind of a collection figure on the second Friday. The film also crossed the Rs. 300-crore threshold on the eighth day as its total for 8 days went up to Rs. 305.13 crore. Collections on Saturday sky-rocketed to Rs. 31.07 crore, and further to Rs. 38.90 crore on Sunday. Needless to add, the collections of both, the second Saturday and the second Sunday, are records just like the figure for the second Friday was. In this way, the film’s second weekend closed at a record-breaking Rs. 90.47 crore. The total for 10 days, therefore, stood at Rs. 375.10 crore. It is anybody’s guess that the film will outshine K.G.F. Chapter 2 (dubbed) at the start of the third weekend itself.

The only two films still ahead of it after the third weekend would be Bahubali 2: The Conclusion (dubbed) (Rs. 510 crore) and Pathaan (Rs. 540 crore).

After the release of ‘Tiger 3’, this Diwali, Salman is mentally and physically ready to start shooting for Vishnuvardhan directorial from November or December onwards. According to the official reports, Salman Khan plays a paramilitary officer in the film and the preparation has already started. He will be carrying a military haircut look in the movie. It’s also reported that Salman Khan will lose few kilograms of his weight for the particular film. The film produced by Dharma Production will hit the silver screens in Christmas 2024.

The film will be shot in multiple schedules
After finishing the film’s first schedule in mid-November to mid-December, the actor will go on a break and will again begin shooting for it in January for 30-45 days. After finishing a major chunk of this film, Khan is set to begin work on Tiger Vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan in March or April 2024 onwards. This tentative dates are slotted, keeping in mind, Shahrukh Khan | SRK and Salman’s schedule. The duo will shoot till the end of May for the film.
Post that, Salman will again return to Vishnuvardhan’s movie in June and wrap the film by July. The report further says that in case there’s a delay in Tiger Vs Pathaan, then Salman will finish shooting for Vishnuvardhan’s movie first.

Later, next year, Salman is also going to begin shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s next. The film will tentatively go on floors by the end of 2024 or early 2025 after Khan completes these two big action packed thrillers. Arbaaz Khan is also waiting since long for the dates to shoot Dabang.

Overall, the Megastar Salman Khan has no time for the filmmakers who are knocking his door with new proposals.

Paramount Pictures Skydance Media and TC Productions’ Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (dubbed from the Hollywood film of the same name; UA) is a spy action film. IMF agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is assigned the task of retrieving half of a key from his ally, Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson). He loses the half key to professional burglar Grace (Hayley Atwell). His friends, Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) are guiding him in his mission which is to not only get hold of the full key but to also destroy the Entity, an experimental AI which major powers are out to gain control over. To gain control of the Entity, both halves of the key are required. Community agents and Gabriel (Esai Morales), an Entity liaison officer, are also after the key. Grace gives the half-key to arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis (Vanessa Kirby) in Venice. Through this, Ethan hopes to find the buyer of the complete key and the purpose it is going to be used for. By a turn of events, Grace collaborates with Ethan. They decide to board the Innsbruck-bound train where Alanna is supposed to meet the buyer. Gabriel is also on the train, with subordinate Paris (Pom Klementieff). Besides, former IMF director Eugene Kittridge (Henry Czerny) and Director of National Intelligence Denlinger (Cary Elwes) are also on the same train. Who will get the key and how?

masala film with plenty of twists and turns, friendships and betrayals, drama and action. The first half has one very lengthy action sequence which seems to be never-ending but the second half moves at a very fast pace and, therefore, keeps the audience engrossed. Although the climax, like the rest of the film, lacks novelty, it, nevertheless, has a lot of thrill and excitement for the viewers.

Tom Cruise once again shines as Ethan Hunt. He is outstanding and endears himself to the audience so much that the cinema halls resound with rounds of applause every time he does the impossible. Hayley Atwell is first-rate in the role of Grace. She makes her character believable. Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg lend marvellous support as Luther Stickell and Benji Dunn. Rebecca Ferguson makes her mark as Ilsa Faust. Vanessa Kirby leaves a fantastic impression in the role of Alanna Alanna Mitsopolis. Esai Morales is impressive as Gabriel. Henry Czerny is adequate as Eugene Kittridge. Pom Klementieff has her moments as Paris. Cary Elwes is adequate as Denlinger. Shea Whigham (as Jasper Briggs) is natural. Greg Tarzan Davis (as Jasper Briggs’ partner, Degas) is alright. Frederick Schmidt (as Alanna’s brother, Zola Mitsopolis), Charles Parnell, Rob Delaney, Indira Varma and Mark Gatiss (all four as heads of the Community), Mariela Garriga (as Marie), and the others lend fine support.

Christopher McQuarrie’s direction is appealing. He plays to the gallery with a fast-paced action thriller. Lorne Balfe’s background music is phenomenal. Fraser Taggart’s cinematography is fantastic. Stunts and action scenes are simply breathtaking. Gary Freeman’s production designing is of a high standard. Special effects and visual effects are outstanding. Eddie Hamilton’s editing is sharp. Dubbing is fantastic.

On the whole, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is a hit. It may have started a bit slow but its collections will grow as the positive word of mouth spreads.

Released on 12-7-’23 at Metro Inox (daily 2 shows), Maratha Mandir (daily 3 shows) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Publicity: very good. Opening: fair. …….Also released all over. Opening was good in the national multiplex chains but ordinary elsewhere. The original English version has also released simultaneously. It is expected to fare better than the dubbed Hindi version.

I WAS DISTRESSED WHEN I SAW KANGANA’S INTERVIEW AGAINST JAVED AKHTAR: NAHTA TELLS COURT | 10 July, 2023

Film trade analyst and your editor, Komal Nahta, told the Andheri metropolitan magistrate court today (July 10) that he felt shocked and distressed when he saw Kangana Ranaut’s interview to Republic TV on 19th July, 2020, wherein she alleged that writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar had threatened her in 2016. In the said interview given by the actress in the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide in June 2020, she alleged that Akhtar had asked her to apologise to Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan as otherwise they were powerful enough to send her to jail where she would be forced to commit suicide. There was an ongoing feud between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana then.

Standing as a witness in the defamation case filed by Javed Akhtar, Nahta told the court, “I could not believe that Javed Akhtar could talk in such a fashion to any woman, least of all to a well-known actress like Kangana Ranaut.” Admitting that his family and friends were aware of his friendship with Javed Akhtar as he had interviewed him on several occasions and had also met him countless times at film functions, Komal Nahta added that he was even more distressed when his friends and family members taunted him for befriending “such a man” who spoke so derogatorily to women.

On being asked by Akhtar’s lawyer, Jay Bharadwaj, whether he had then spoken to the writer-lyricist, Nahta replied in the affirmative. “I was so shocked and felt so humiliated when my family and friends ridiculed me for associating with “people like Javed Akhtar” that I picked up the phone and spoke to Javed saab. Javed saab told me, he had not spoken like that to Kangana, that she had lied in the interview.” The examination of Nahta proceeded with Bharadwaj asking him if he was satisfied by Akhtar’s clarification. Nahta replied, “After speaking with Javed saab, I was convinced that he had not said what was alleged. Even otherwise, in my entire career so far, I have never known Javed saab to speak rudely or derogatorily to anybody. What’s more, even if Javed Akhtar wants to show his displeasure, his comments are invariably laced with humour. The fact that there was no humour in Javed Akhtar’s alleged comments convinced me that they weren’t his statements.”
Nahta further told the court that he made it a point to tell his friends (who had taunted him) about his conversation with Javed saab, but while some were convinced that Javed Akhtar had been made a scapegoat, there were other friends who did not believe Nahta. “I am close enough to Javed Akhtar to pick up the phone and seek a clarification, and I’ve known him since many years to understand his clarification,” Nahta concluded, “but I doubt whether the world must be convinced. And before how many people can Javed Akhtar clarify that the statements attributed to him were not made by him?”
Nahta will be cross-examined by Kangana’s lawyer on July 24.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla presented the prestigious Tara Award and the Mark Shand Award to Oscar-winning filmmaker Kartiki Gonsalves and a wildlife conservation group from India, at the 2023 Animal Ball in London on June 28. Kartiki, the director of The Elephant Whisperers, and the Tamil Nadu-based The Real Elephant Collective (TREC) were honoured by the Royals for making significant contribution to human-wildlife co-existence.
The award citation of Kartiki reads, “The Tara Award, inspired by the sacred bond between elephants and humans, recognises extraordinary achievements in story-telling and advocacy for co-existence. We were delighted to present this award to Kartiki Gonsalves.” The citation further reads, “… the globally acclaimed documentary stands as a testament to the beauty of India’s wilderness, the wisdom of tribal communities, and the empathy that exists between people and animals who share the same space.”
The Mark Shand Award, named in honour of the Queen’s brother and founder of Elephant Family that works to protect Asia’s wildlife, went to the TREC, a community of 70 Adivasi artists and wildlife conservationists.

Shah Rukh Khan injured in an accident

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan met with a minor accident on set while shooting a project in Los Angeles. According to media reports, he received immediate medical attention and returned home to Mumbai for his recovery. India Today reported that the actor had injured his nose and there was some minor bleeding.
