Bollywood is killing single screen

There is 0 advance booking of the movie ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Thank God’ in Single screen theatres. This is the fate of several Bollywood movies, and this isn’t good. Distributors aren’t giving preference to single screens these days as they earn more from multiplexes, obviously. But this tactic is killing the single screens. Filmmakers can’t deny the truth though they earn more from the multiplexes but they get much more audience from single screens, audience of single screens are also fans, followers of the Indian film Industry, they give long term benefits to the Industry. Imagine our plight with the movie releasing after few hours but there is no update on advance booking in single screens. Why is this discrimination going on ? Executive director, G7 multiplex and
Maratha Mandir
Cinema Manoj Desai is a worried man, he says, ” This discrimination is harmful for the Industry, Filmmakers and Distributors should seriously think and come out with some solutions. Furthermore, the makers of ‘Ram Setu’ are demanding more shows over ‘Thank God’. But I am not giving into this. At Maratha Mandir I have slotted two shows for each of the films, while I’ve dedicated Gaiety and Galaxy to ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Thank God’ respectively.”

Advance booking of ‘Ram Setu’ is better than ‘Thank God’. While both the films have scored very low in advance booking, ‘Ram Setu’ is expected to collect around Rs 1.50 crore nett in advance. ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Thank God’ are expected to score less than Rs 10 crore on it’s first day.
The trade on the whole is going through crisis, it’s really a matter of great concern.
Come on, wake up guys with a concrete plan.
