I prefer Quality and not quantity : Rakesh Srivastava

Director, Producer, Actor Rakesh Srivastava started his career with a great film personality Basu Chatterjee, while working with him in his official work Rakesh Srivastava learned a lot.
Rakesh Srivastava is known as Jack of all trades, he has almost all the knowledge related to film making, apart being an actor , Director, Producer, Ad film maker he knows writing, editing, cinematography, choreography. He also know the distribution and exhibition of the movies, and all the other small and big works associated to the world of Cinema.
Although Rakesh Srivastava has been working since long but he became known with a tv series ‘Jail mein hai zindagi’ for a national TV.
He was the executive producer of the tv series and he also played the role of a deputy Jailer.
Rakesh became a familiar name with a film ‘Lauta Do Zameer’ on Mx player and many other Ott platforms. In ‘Lauta Do Zameer’ he played the lead role, he also directed and Produced the movie. ‘Ab Dayara Tutega’ also added fame to his name.
Bollywood Reporter / www.bollywoodreporters.com met Rakesh Srivastava at the shooting of his under production film ‘Sadhu Kuti’. When asked about the project,
Rakesh said, ” ‘Sadhu Kuti’ is a horror film which is directed by me, it’s a 90 minute scary entertainer and shall be released in the mid of 2023.”
” Tell me something about yourself ?” I asked.
He replied, ” I am son of a famous Sportsman Mr. Radheshyam Srivastava, he was an International sports man(volleyball player), My hometown is Allahabad/Prayag raj, while watching Bollywood films I grew up with a dream of becoming a famous person in the world of Cinema, it wasn’t easy but I never lost hopes, I did whatever work I got in the film Industry, I worked as a Production controller, I did small roles in films. I got opportunity to work as an executive producer as well.
By doing various different works I learned almost everything related to Cinema.
Now by the grace of Lord Shri Ram ji I am on a right track, I have many projects which are under production, film lovers shall be able to watch them one by one. ”
” Are you a satisfied man now ?”
“No, not yet ! I am still growing and working hard to make my dreams come true.
I have directed almost 300 video albums, more than a dozen short films, I have directed almost half a dozen film, few released and few are ready to release, there are half a dozen scripts ready to shoot.”
I asked, ” By doing lots of work at the same time, how do you maintain the quality. What’s your priority quality or quantity?”
Rakesh said,” Quality , of course ! I do one work at a time, after finishing one work I go for the next. ”
” What’s your next release ?”
” There are many short films but my next release shall be ‘Parwarish’, it’s a full length film.”
