The film Ameena has become notable for being shown in Movie Hub, Mumbai, since 52 weeks, and has entered in 53rd week.

Co-Producer of Ameena, Dharam says, ” We are overwhelmed by the excellent response from the audiences, they have made Ameena a cult film, it has now entered in 53rd week in a prestigious film theatre, Movie Hub.”

Although Ameena is a low budget movie without big starcast. The film is based on a national award winning novel ‘Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai’ by Aftab Hasnain.

Ameena is Produced and Directed by Kumar Raj.
Kumar Raj’s previous film Tara-The Love And Passion, which had even knocked the door of the Academy awards ‘Oscar’ was also a praise worthy entertainer.

Ameena is still being shown and the ‘Golden Jubilee’ posters stucked on the walls of the Tinsel Town has created curiosity amongst filmgoers. The term ‘Golden Jubilee’ is almost unknown for the new generation, as Ameena is the only film in 35 years time, which has achieved a ‘Golden Jubilee’ tag.

Now, here arise a question, “Why and how come Ameena has done this miracle of achieving the task of Silver Jubilee (6 months) and then Golden Jubilee’ (1 year)?”
“If a film is made with passion, excellent content and incredible story telling then, even without huge budget and in absence of stars, could be a success on the box-office” said Film-maker Kumar Raj. The miraculous success of Ameena has conveyed this lesson to the Bollywood, film industry.

Ameena is featured by Rekha Rana, Anant Mahadevan, Arti Vazirani, Utkarsh Koli, Deepali Mishra and others.
The leading lady Rekha Rana has played a double role and is being praised for her extraordinary performance, she is from Dinesh Thakur’s theatre group and nowadays, working for a Hollywood project. Rekha has also played the title role in Kumar Raj’s previous film Tara-The Love And Passion. Raza Murad has contributed with his incredible voiceover in Ameena and music has been done by Ismail Darbar.

Ameena deals with sensitive sub-plots like forced marriage and societal norms, sparking discussions about justice and women’s rights.
