Why Alia Bhatt didn’t go to the IIFA Awards?

Almost all of the expected and nominated celebrities were seen at the IIFA Awards-2023 but winner of the best actor award female Filmfare Awards-2023 Alia Bhatt wasn’t present.

People started doing their guess work.
Many thought it’s the rivalry amongst the two most prestigious awards of the country that might have stopped her to attend the show, many speculated that Ranbir Kapoor stopped her to go Abu Dhabi as their newly born may not afford the climate changing Conditions.
There were many other guesses and speculations as well.

However, reason for Alia Bhatt not attending the IIFA was totally different.
Alia Bhatt was set to travel abroad for IFFA Awards but Unfortunately, the actress had to skip the fiesta due to a sudden unfortunate happening.

According to sources, Alia Bhatt’s maternal grandfather, Narendra Razdan, is critical. He has been unwell since December 2023.
But his health condition became critical few days back and he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, It is said that he wasn’t able to breath properly due to a lung infection. Since his infection got worse, so he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit. However, it was later decided not to take him to the ICU and to carry on with the treatment within the room itself, to make him safe from any further infection, and also to provide him the required comfort.

So Guys, all the guesses and speculations weren’t correct and the reason for Alia Bhatt not attending the IIFA Awards was related to her Nana’s illness.
