Suryabhan Gupt honoured with Vaagdhara lifetime achievement award- ‘Jeevan Gaurav.’

“Government should provide legal provisions for those who want to embrace death (like Euthansia)”- said Suryabhan Gupt

Mumbai- Senior Litterateur Suryabhan Gupt felicitated with Vaagdhara lifetime achievement award- ‘Jeevan Gaurav’ on Sunday evening at his Manku mension situated residence in Dadar (East) Mumbai.

President Vaagdhara and General Secretary of Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena Dr. Vagish Saraswat honoured Suryabhan Gupt with Special Trophy, Memento, Certificate of Glory, Stole and Sriphal (Holi Coconut).

On the occasion Jury member of the Vaagdhara Awards committee, Senior Journalist Vimal Mishra, Author Manoj Goel, Casting Director Rajesh Gautam and others grace the occasion with their valuable presence.

The 83 year old senior Litterateur Suryabhan Gupt said, ” Government should provide legal provisions to embrace death (like Euthanasia) to those who are physically and financially weak and living their lives in absence of basic needs essential for further livings.

On the auspicious occasion the senior Litterateur reminiscenced his memoir regarding author Ved Rahi, Poet Javed Akhtar and him.

He also recited one of his ‘Nazm’ with a precious message —

“शाम के वक़्त कभी घर में अकेले न रहो
किसी महफिल, किसी जलसे, किसी मेले में रहो
शाम जब आए किसी भीड़ के रेले में रहो
शाम को भूले से मत आओ कभी हाथ अपने
ख़ुद को उलझाए किसी ऐसे झमेले में रहो । ”

This should be mentioned here that on the 4th of May 2023 Vaagdhara Awards were presented by the Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan to specific Personalities from different walks of lives but due to poor health and sickness Suryabhan Gupt wasn’t able to attend the ceremony. Hence, the Vaagdhara Awards Committee decided to felicitate the senior Litterateur at his home.
