Javed Akhtar didn’t share a good bonding with his father Jan Nisar Akhtar

Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar was born to poet Jan Nisar Akhtar and Safiya Siraj-ul Haq. But his mother passed away when he was quite young, and he didn’t share a cordial relationship with his stepmother, because of which he never lived with his father either. In a recent interview with the BBC, Javed Akhtar talked about his troubled relationship with his father Jan Nisar Akhtar.
Javed Akhtar said, ” My father was a great literally personality but he wasn’t a good father.”
Javed Akhtar was born on January 17, 1945. He is known for his great contribution to the world of literature as a lyricist, screenplay writer and poet. He is also an active political activist. He got popular first with his work in Hindi cinema as a superhit story and screenplay writer, he has won five National Film Awards, and received the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2007, two of India’s highest civilian honours. He is still very much active. A book JADUNAMA written by Arvind Mandloi on his life and career has been unveiled recently.
