Anupam Kher was desperate to do Mahesh Bhatt directorial Saaransh at any cost

One of the versatile actors of the Indian Film Industry Anupam Kher should thank Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt as he gave him such a film which became a classic, Sasransh is a must watch for those who want to make career in the film Industry. Anupam Kher recalled how he came to be cast in the film Saaransh, and said that after the film became a success, he signed as many as 57 films in one week. Anupam was on the verge of quitting acting and leaving Mumbai for good when he had a heated exchange with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who was so impressed with his passion that he decided to cast him in Saaransh.
Anupam was just 28 years old then, but the character that he was required to play was in his 60s. In an interview with ANI, Anupam recalled the story, and said that he didn’t have the personal life experiences to play a grieving man, although at that stage he was familiar with rejection and humiliation.
Mahesh Bhatt finalised Anupam Kher for the movie.
But later Anupam Kher heard some buzz that finally Sanjeev Kumar will act in Saaransh.
Anupam Kher was shocked and he cursed the Filmmaker who betrayed him.
