One of the top most stars of the Indian Film Industry Rekha once appeared in Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, Simi’s chat show. She pulled out her heart amid answering to Simi Garewal. In between the show, Rekha asked for a glass of water, and Simi gave it to her by saying, “water, please for the lady here, for the poor thirsty child”. To this, Rekha suddenly pronounced, “janam se pyaasi hoon” (I am thirsty since my birth), and this left everyone spellbound. Later, while watching this interview at a cultural show, she was also seen laughing at herself.
Rekha is known for grooming herself like a Diva.
If you watch her early days you will notice the transformation of an ordinary actress into a living legend.
She is from the South like Hema Malini, but the command which she delivers while speaking Urdu and Hindi is just incredible.
