Ranbir Kapoor is unarguably one of the top stars of the Indian Film Industry aka Bollywood, the very handsome and extremely talented star carries all the qualities of a superstar. Ranbir Kapoor has always been tagged as the “Next Superstar” by the media and film lovers. Ranbir is capable of pulling audiences to the theatres, he has proved this many times before, now Tu Jhooti Mai Makkar has taken a good start. Ranbir is a gifted actor, why not as he is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh Kapoor. Ranbir has performed marvellously in films like Barfi, Sanju and now in Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkaar.
Bollywood Reporter/www.bollywoodreporters.com asked Ranbir Kapoor, ” Do you consider yourself a Superstar?” Ranbir said, “No, not yet, you tell me- Am I ? I know that I am doing my job with passion and trying to deliver the best it’s your and the audience’s job to decide what I deserve… box-office tells the exact status-who and what you are upto ?”
I said, “Ok, then Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have been ruling at the box-office since long, do you consider yourself as the next Superstar ?” Ranbir Kapoor replied, ” Yes, they are ruling, but let me tell you, an actor will be either a superstar or not and I don’t believe in the term ‘Next Superstar’.”
Ranbir took a pause and continued, ” I didn’t like doing films just for the sake of money I accept projects with potential values, they must be interesting with some new ingredients and Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkaar is such a film, it’s interesting and entertaining for me and for the audience as well.”
