It was announced globally that Shahrukh Khan | SRK’s Pathaan will release on February, 24 but due to certain obstacles the movie wasn’t released. Bangladesh Motion Picture Exhibitors’ Association has now Warned the Government that they would shut down the Cinema halls one by one, if “Pathaan” is not allowed to be released sooner.
“We have our backs against the wall”, said the association’s general secretary, Awlad Hossain in a press conference in the capital. “Even after we got a green signal from the ministry, there was not written permission to release the movie. If this goes on, you will see that the cinema halls will shut down one by one.”
A lot of drama is going on in Bangladesh for the written permission for the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer historic blockbuster “Pathaan”, to be released in Bangladesh. Even SRK himself acknowledged the release in a tweet.
Following the news, it was said that due to the month of February being International Mother Language Day and a sensitive one for cultural values, the release would be postponed.
While many in the media, including the cast and crew of recently released Bangla film “Ora 7 Jon” publicly protested against the ‘sudden’ release of the film, hall owners around the country were eager to see the landmark film launch, which could potentially revive their business and even encourage others to invest in the film trade.
In a letter addressed to the Ministry of Information, Bangladesh Motion Picture Exhibitors’ Association requested that the release of “Pathaan” be implemented soon, as no film after “Hawa” and “Poran” last year had made decent revenue for them.
Pathaan will release in Bangladesh sooner this is definite, as the association isn’t leaving any stone unturned to kick off the Hurdles.
