Yesteryear ‘s Bollywood Vamp and Dancer Bindu recalls Rajesh Khanna, the legend

The latest episode of the popular singing hunt show Indian Idol of Sony hosted by handsome Aditya Narayan , judged by the Rockstar Himesh Reshammiya and the genius musician Vishal Dadlani was worth watching as apart great singing by the amazingly talented contestants the show was graced by the two yesteryear’s actresses Bindu and Aruna Irani.
Talking about Bindu, she used to play Vamp and cabret dancer in her movies, she recalls Rajesh Khanna, the legend. She remembers how she impressed Rajesh Khanna while shooting with him.
Recalling how her performance shocked superstar Rajesh Khanna in the 1969 film ‘Do Raaste’ also starring Mumtaz, veteran actress Bindu told the contestants that how college girls and boys used to gather around Rajesh Khanna.
She said: “I did a film with Rajesh Khanna called ‘Do Raaste,’ and he was already a star because he has already given two-three hits before that. It was my first experience shooting with him, he was to play my brother-in-law.”
She further said,
“In my first scene with him I had to shout at him while he was lying on the sofa, and he was shocked by my performance because he considered me a newcomer, I played the role of an arrogant girl married to Prem Chopra, the way I acted in the very first scene with Rajesh Khanna, he was impressed and later, we talked about our experiences as actors.”
The makers of the show Indian Idol are doing great job as they invite yesteryear’s top most stars to grace the occasion, this gives contestants the reason to perform even better.”
